Bannow & Rathangan Agricultural Show - Thursday 12th July 2018

Chairperson’s Welcome

Our 69th annual show takes place in Killag on July 12th2018. Preparations are well under way as we prepare for what promises to be ‘A Fun Day Out For All The Family.’

We have a superb site for our show thanks to the generousity of James and Veronica White who give their land each year.

A big thank you to our loyal exhibitors and sponsors who support us so readily. They make our show the success that it is and we value their support

We are very fortunate to have wonderful support from the local community and the surrounding areas. The Show is one of the most important dates in the diary of the South East as it attracts large crowds to the area.

We have a large volunteer work force on show day. Their help is much appreciated and commended. It is this sense of volunteerism which is heartening. Our hardworking committee work tirelessly to promote and develop the show. Long may that continue.

We have a wonderful showcase of Trade Stands on the field with the agricultural based stands growing in number each year. We appreciate the efforts made by all the businesses to bring their stands to the show. We wish them continued success in their ventures.

This year we are delighted to host the Semi Final heats of the Junior and Senior All Ireland Home Cook Championships in our Food Hall, alongside Chef Adrian, Gopal Kawender and Phelim Byrne. The Theme is ‘Creativity using Irish ingredients’. Contestants are asked to cook their favourite main course. Qualifiers will go forward to the All Ireland finals

Come and join us in Killag on July 12th for what promises to be a great day out for all the family, a day to meet old friends and make new friends.

Show Chairperson,

Betty Stafford
