Our 75th Show is on 9th July 2026

Chairpersons Welcome

Chairperson’s Welcome.

Welcome to our website, a comprehensive guide to the Bannow and Rathangan Show which celebrates its 74th show on the 10th of July at Killag, Duncormick, Co. Wexford. The show started in Littlegraigue on the land of the late John Joe Furlong in 1949. Through the years, the show was always a popular event in the social calendar and in 1972 it found a new home on land given by The Mc Cutcheon family. From 1974 to 1979 the show was held in Balloughton on the lands of The Scanlon family. Moving to Killag in 1980, the present home of the show, gave the show a new lease of life. Our sincere thanks to James and Veronica White for this wonderful site. It is heartening to see the level of community spirit and community involvement, testament to the success of the show.

Take a look at our online schedule, all entries received online before our closing date, June 20th will be entered into a draw for a €100 prize. Lots of classes to choose from in all areas of the show field.

Our spacious dance floor with live music from Sinéad Black, T&N Dance band, and Jack Keogh is an event to look forward to, with music all afternoon.

This year we have a €300 voucher, kindly sponsored by Julie Caulfield, for the Most Appropriately Dressed Person at the show.

Charlo the Chef will be doing cookery demonstrations throughout the day, with some pupils from the local National Schools competing in their own cookery competition. Best of luck to all who are taking part. Join us in our Food Village throughout the day to see these contestants cook up their meals.

A big thank you to our loyal exhibitors and sponsors who support us so readily. You help to make our show so successful, and we value your support greatly.

We will have a wonderful showcase of Trade Stands on the field this year. We appreciate the efforts made by all the businesses who come. We wish them continued success.

We have a large volunteer work force on the day. Their help is much appreciated; without it we could not function. I also want to thank our hardworking committee who work tirelessly to promote and develop the show. Long may that support continue.

Our motto is ‘A Fun Day Out for All the Family’. We hope we can deliver on this. Check out all the free activities for children on the field taking place throughout the day. A full list will be available on the website shortly.

Our website is full of information for you, so that you can enjoy the day to the fullest. Our secretary, Elizabeth, is always ready to answer any queries.

Join us in Killag for a ‘Fun Day Out for All The Family’
