All Ireland Senior Home Cook Champion 2023

Are you passionate about food and love to cook? Do you constantly impress your friends and family with your culinary skills? Are you an amateur cook with hidden talent? If so, you may like to enter the All-Ireland Home Cook Champion 2023 live cooking competition. The winner will celebrate a week at Ballymaloe cookery school including accommodation plus a €1000 Nord Mende Vouchers There will be Ninja kitchen products vouchers for second and third places. There are a few terms and conditions involved,
- You need to be 18 or over as of May 1st, 2023.
- You need to be resident in the 32 counties of Ireland
- You cannot have worked full-time as a chef in a restaurant
- You can hold a cooking certificate or qualification, however you will be deemed inadmissible if you are working or have worked professionally as a chef in the trade.
- We reserve the right to disqualify entrants if we deem that they have worked professionally as a cook or chef in the past or present.
- The Competition is open to amateur cooks.
- The judge’s decision will be final

Competition entrants must be:
In full time secondary school education term September 2022-June/July 2023
Resident in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland

- Entrants can enter as individuals or in teams of two.
Competition Format:
- Qualifiers will have 45 minutes to prepare and cook a main course of their choice at the regional show.
- A gas hob and electric oven will be provided at the show along with power points and a work. area. Each contestant must bring along their own ingredients and whatever pots pans knives etc. that they require to prepare and cook their dish.
- Dishes will be judged on presentation, cooking skills, Taste, cleanliness, and best use of ingredients.
- The winner of each regional show will qualify for the All-Ireland Final at Claremorris Show All Ireland Junior Final Claremorris Show, Co Mayo Sunday August 6th
